A State is Born:

Trillium Ontario State Circle officially began in 1993 at the 40th Ontario Provincial Circle Convention of the Daughters of Isabella in St. Catherine, Ontario.    At this time the Provincial Circle had 4650 members, 50 Circles – 41 French and 9 English.

The division came in the form of having 3 distinct State Circles:

  1. Sudest Ontarien (French) – 23 circles and 2156 members
  2. Norontario (French) – 18 Circles and 1953 members
  3. Trillium-Ontario (English) – 9 Circles and 541 members.

The 9 English circles were:

# 866        St. Josephs, Toronto                          instituted 1951

# 872        Little Flower, Niagara Falls              instituted 1952

# 908        Marian Circle, Sudbury                     instituted 1954

#1037       St. Anthony of Padua, Oshawa          instituted 1960

#1050       Our Lady of Lourdes, Huronia         instituted 1960

#1297       Our Lady of Peace, Toronto             instituted 1981

#1302       St. Michael the Archangel, Sault Ste. Marie instituted   1981

#1334       St. Catherine of Genoa, Brampton   instituted 1985

#1348       St. Judes Circle, Etobicoke                instituted 1986
